We are really looking forward to AIMS’26 promoting exciting and invigorating conversations, and hope that you will feel inspired, empowered and encouraged to share your thoughts and experiences.
Our code of conduct for the conference is informed by the University of Nottingham’s 5-core values, which are as follows:
Inclusivity: We are a community where everyone can contribute and be appreciated for who they are
Ambition: We set the highest standards for ourselves and our work and support each other to achieve them
Openness: We adopt a straightforward and transparent way of communicating with each other, championing the free exchange of ideas
Fairness: Our decisions and actions are consistent, impartial and ethical
Respect: We have regard for each other’s rights and feelings, and demonstrate this in our behaviour, treating each other with kindness
Listen respectfully to speakers, presenters, chairs, staff and other delegates
Share your thoughts and experiences if you wish to, and be mindful that time is limited, and others may also wish to speak
Respect people’s needs and wishes in terms of preferred pronouns
Tell us clearly and concisely if anything is not working for you and trust that we will do our best to find a solution
Take responsibility for your own emotional well-being – take time out if you need to
Provide all presenters, speakers and chairs of panels with a copy of this statement and provide guidance to ensure their contributions are accessible and inclusive
Pay attention to the feedback that you give us, acting on anything that needs urgent attention and using the rest to inform future events
Help you to manage your wellbeing by providing adequate breaks in the live programme
Provide useful resources about sources of support
For any questions relating to this code of conduct or if you experience bullying or harassment during any time attending the conference please speak to our front of house team in the first instance.
